In this capacity, Mr. Burgiel manages the strategic direction of the organization as well as the day-to-day business operations of the firm. Mr. Burgiel’s expertise is founded on 23 years of consulting experience and progressive levels of management responsibilities with BDR’s parent company, R. W. Beck .

Since spinning off BDR as a wholly-owned subsidiary of R. W. Beck Group, Inc. in 2000, Mr. Burgiel has focused his efforts on building the firm into a world class emergency preparedness and disaster recovery organization by helping city, county, state and federal agencies, universities, hospitals and others in the public and private sector plan for, respond to and recover from disasters whether caused by acts of nature or human-hand.
