Disaster Program Management
When disaster strikes, communities and organizations are faced with the daunting task of mobilizing a recovery effort. BDR provides comprehensive support in the aftermath of an event, offering Disaster Program Management services for the clean-up, repair, and reconstruction of damaged communities and structures. Our unique ability to oversee all aspects of disaster response enables clients to get back to running their business with peace of mind.
One of the initial tasks assumed by BDR is the development of a disaster-specific project management plan, whether it is a hurricane, flood or terrorist act. Other duties in the scope of Disaster Program Management include:

Cost tracking. BDR implements an accounting system that captures critical data required for reimbursement by state and federal agencies. |

Daily meeting facilitation. Our Disaster Program Management team runs daily meetings between the client, our agency and contractor project management staff. Items discussed include daily results, pressing problems, coordination issues and potential operational improvements. |

Work scheduling: We work closely with the client to schedule work for each day and assist in identifying and addressing critical damage areas that require immediate attention. |

Reporting: Knowing that information is one of the most critical aspects of disaster response, the BDR team provides the client with daily and cumulative statistics on the progress of clean-up projects. |
Additional Program Management capabilities of our firm include Call Center Operations, Contract Management and Tracking/Monitoring Contractor Damages. BDR maintains a staff of Resource Managers in our Orlando office with an exclusive responsibility to assist Project Managers and other field staff in obtaining and coordinating staff, equipment, and other field logistics.
"Beck Disaster and Recovery played a crucial role in getting our debris sites permitted and operating, overseeing contractual and operational issues with our three debris haulers and managing the hundreds of thousands of load tickets and data that are critical for FEMA reimbursement. The firm has provided a consistent staff of skilled and trained individuals throughout the duration of the clean-up effort."
